MINUTES OF RTI WELFARE ORGANIZATION WORKING UNDER THE BANNER OF NATIONAL CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE AND INVOLVED FOR SPREADING AWARENESS ABOUT THE RTI ACT, 2005:-

It was an occasion today on 6-7-2025 right from 11 am to 2pm , when online meeting of the RTI welfare Association under the banner of National Campaign Committee was attended on the captioned subject of RTI applications and Appeals, as well as Complaints related to the supply of information by the applicants. The meeting was controlled by Shri Shiva Nand Diwedi and Shri Devender Agarwal which was in question answered by the former SIC Shri Aatam deep being senior guide and key member of the event present on the occasion of this meeting for redressal of grievances where in MLA Shri Kamleshwar Dodiyar from Sailana Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh) also remained present for the vision RTI and a question was also raised by the said Member Legislative Assembly of the Madhya Pradesh that while he asked some information from the department of his concern he was denied the requisite information being MLA , and for which it was observed by the house of members that it could not be denied to any citizen of the society and circle for which matter was argued by Shri Devender Agarwal and Shri Biswas . As such matter was also highlighted by myself on the captioned subject based on the DOP&T memo number 1/32/2013-IR dated, 28-11-2013 where in it is recommended with the guidelines below:-- (Supply of Information to Associations, etc) :-- " The Act gives the right to information only to the citizens of India. It does not make provision for giving information to Corporations, Associations, Companies etc, which are legal entities/persons, but not citizen. However, if an application is made by an employee or office-bearer of any Corporation, Association, Company, NGO, etc, indication his name and such employee /office bearer is a citizen of India, information may be supplied to him /her.In such cases, it would be presumed that a citizen has sought information at the address of the Corporation, etc" . All the members present on the occasion for taking cognisance of the spreading awareness about the RTI Act, 2005 vide clause (a) of sub section (1) of section 26 of the right to information Act, 2005 casts a responsibility on the Governments of State to develop and organise educational programmes to advance the understanding of the public about exercise of their right to information as working and involving themselves as (NGO) for this purpose of awareness drive, being this gigantic task which requires involvement of various sections of society and circle.
