CHLORINATION OF THE WELLS :-- The process termed "chloride cartridge"has been useful device which comprises an earthen pot of seven to eight litres capacity with a number of 0.5 cm diameter at the bottom.A dry mixture of bleaching powder and coarse sand in proportion of 1:2 by weight is placed in the cartridge over the gravel . This cartridge covered at the neck is immersed in the well .
