CHAMBA ZONE OF RTI ACTIVISTS DEMANDING ROAD NET WORK FACILITY BY PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, INSTEAD OF PROVIDING AMBULANCE ROADS BY THE PANCHAYATI RAJ DEPARTMENT

Himachal pradesh Government and the department of Panchayati raj and the rural development providing Ambulance roads to the people of rural areas for their emergency services. Ambulance roads are also specialized in hill terrains, narrow width in the hilly areas but it is necessary to have ruling gradient for the up and down of the ambulance services, so that emergency services may be obtained from the ambulance roads, so maintained for the welfare of people of area and circle, but a number of complaints have been received from the different corners of the Hilly state that these roads are not fit for the emergency services, even and people facing problems because of the steep slopes, where no cross drainage provided for these hilly roads maintained for balancing the challenges of fragile mountain ecosystem, and extreme weather with the necessity of swift emergency transportation for the vehicular safety and certification for the construction guidelines. A complaint has been discussed during the online meeting of RTI volunteers and activists today on 24-10-2026 at 6.00 pm to 6-30 pm which was also attended by Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Shri Pyar Muhammed Pathan, Shri Uttam Chand Vashishth , in addition to other members of the Chamba zone and a senior citizen from Chamba Shri Bhilo Ram village Churahd post office Sirkund made complaint against Gram Panchayat Sirkund under BDO Chamba failed to provide ambulance services on his village road from Bhullu, Padder Salwin about 3.5 KM and he has donated more than two Bighas of land for this ambulance road where no services could be maintained because of the steep gradients and topographic conditions against the norms of hill terrains and people waiting for this facility since ten years of the cross and pass. On the other hand the Gram panchayat Sirkund taking no cognisance to issue information under the Right to information Act, 2005 .
