GUIDELINES FOR INFORMATION SEEKERS (RTI AND THE RTS ACT) AND WORK DONE ON THE AWARENESS DRIVE DURING (MINJAR MELA) BY CHAMBA ZONE REQUEST TO REPORT THE COMPLIANCE UNDER CLAUSE (a) OF SUB- SECTION (1) OF SECTION 26 OF RTI ACT, 2005

The programme made by the Chamba Zone of RTI welfare Group under the provision of the RTI week celebration for awareness generation of the RTI and the RTS in (Minjar mela) for the period (27-7-2025 to 3-8-2025 ) have been made accomplished by the key members and RTI activists of the Association for supplant these efforts of the state Government after allotment of the place for doing need ful in the minjar mela for which all the members and guides of the Zone are congratulated. The aim and objective of the welfare Association which has been recorded to enable smooth exercise of the Right to information by persons who wish to do so that there is a need to elaborating some provisions of the Act and methods of its use by the general public and the guidelines have accordingly been prepared for the information seekers which has been given wide publicity through online provision of the guidelines and also by way of the physical training and manner in which request for access to an information shall be made to a public information officer and the assistance available from the public information officer and duties of the Public information officer available regarding remedies in law or failure to act in respect of a right or duty conferred or imposed by this Act including the manner of filing an appeal to the commission , for which the RTI welfare Association registered number HPCD, 3552 taking cognisance on behalf of the appropriate government to prepare programme up to the possible extent of resources, so required to develop and organise educational programmes to advance the understanding of the public, in particular of disadvantaged communities, as to how to exercise the rights contemplated under this Act, initiated since, 2005 to date of the, work and conduct by all concerned, declared responsible for the awareness drive, to empower the citizens in this behalf of the work so making our democracy duty bound in the real sense of informed citizenry, equipped to keep necessary vigil on the instruments of governance and make the Government more accountable to the governed, but it is regretted to point that very few people are performing this right to access for information, so it is found necessary to follow object of the RTI Act and do needful under the provision made for awareness celebration of this programme during the minjar mela tenure held for 27-7-2025 to 3-8-2025 . The work done during this period of the time lines made on record may please be brought on record to appropriate government to continue this celebration, if necessary, update and publish the guidelines at regular intervals for which the registered members of the Group may take further volunteer disclosure of categories of of records maintained during this period of the minjar mela celebration for a week long involvement under clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 26 of the right to information Act, 2005 , casts a responsibility on the government of states to develop and organise educational programmes to advance the understanding more and more about exercise of this empowerment issued by the parliamentary democracy, since, 2005 and the right to information rules, 2012 , coming into the force on the date of their publication for which time to time issued guidelines must have wide publicity at every level of the guidelines for the information seekers:-- Er Fateh chand Guleria, Director, RTI welfare Association registered number HPCD, 3552 , Bilaspur Himachal Pradesh phone number, 9459334377
