PEOPLE FACING PROBLEMS DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IN THE LAY -BYES AND THE INDIVIDUAL PARKING BECAUSE OF THE RCC DIVIDER PROVIDED IN BERTHIN BAZAR INSTEAD OF PAINTING STRIPS.

Local problems due to restriction in the vehicular traffic created because of the divider in the middle half of the Major District road (GTB) in the bazar portion of the area too restricting the parking places and lay -bys for which the people of bazar area and community services taking matter with the Public Works Department and the department of Administration however departments are taking no cognizance of the shortage of sufficient carriage way required for the vehicular traffic during the peak hours as such the local road width of a carriage way to enable vehicles to draw off the road for temporary parking or stoppage without obstruction is becoming a problem and demand under public utilities as the marketing in the bazar portion too suffering because of the required individual parking space for the owner of the shopping complex and too the visitors, more over lay -byes should be provided to enable vehicles to draw off the road for temporary parking and the bus stop .The matter has also been brought to the notice of the department of Public Works under RTI act publications and the issue and matter deliberation required to be followed under IRC recommendations in this behalf still require due consideration and improvement in the provision of divider made as such painting strips are required for such type of the classification of roads and there is no necessity to provide a RCC divider .The government and the department of the Public Works should arrange for the parking places and Lay-byes as such the road capacity depends upon the type of road (MDR) and for which Traffic Counts Equivalency Factor for vehicles is required to be assessed and converted into equivalent passenger car unit for counting the traffic volume capacity of the road .As per design & scope of the provision made and created for the different classification of roads Four -lane roads should invariably be provided with median strips.
