In addition to the PGI Chandigarh,PGIMS Rohtak and IGMC Shimla the heart surgeries new machine has also been installed at the Government Medical College and hospital GMCH sector 32 Chandigarh by way of which the waiting period for the heart surgeries will now be reduced from six month to two months. It is useful for surgeries like single and the multiple cardiac valve replacement,coronary artery bypass and the basic congenital heart surgeries including the surgeries of the children born with heart in hole . The newly developed machine costs around rupees one crore. The MoU has been signed by the Director of the PGI and the UT home secretary to provide support to the newly opened services at the GMCH  sector 32 Chandigarh which includes training from the PGI Chandigarh required for performing complicated surgeries with the use and exercise of new machine which one is more advanced with a lot of modern science and technology development prefixed with the latest features.
