A VISIT TO INSTITUTE FOR AYURVED STUDIES &RESEARCH, SHRI KRISHNA AYUSH UNIVERSITY, KURUKSHETRA (HARYANA) - 11 FEBRUARY, 2026

It was an occasion today on February 11, 2026 when visited the Institute for Ayurved Studies &Research (Formerly Shri krishna Government Ayurvedic College, Kurukshetra ) Faculty of Ayurved now functioning Shri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra, Government Ayurvedic college and Hospital, established in, 1972 which became the foundation for the Shri Krishna Ayush University (SKAU) , formed by the Haryana, Act number, 25 in, 2017 making it the first university dedicated to all Ayush systems (Ayurveda, Yoga &Naturopathy, Unani, Sidha and Homeopathy) and integrating traditional knowledge with modern research, with the college serving as its home campus for UG/PG/PhD programs in Ayush. It was founded in 1972 : Shri Krishna government Ayurvedic College &Hospital now working as a key center for Ayurvedic education and practice in Haryana, affiliated with Kurukshetra university for UG/Diploma courses In 2008 the college was recognised as a Model Institute of Ayurveda by the Government of India. During 2018-19 :SKAU began functions, offering comprehensive AYUSH education, with the Ayurvedic college as its base. Now SKAU aims to advance AYUSH medicine globally, blending ancient Indian wisdom with the modern science and research in Ayurveda and other Ayush systems. In essence the institution from a prominent Government Ayurvedic college into a specialized University.
