RETAIL INFLATION IN JANUARY, 2026 CAPTURING CONSUMPTION AT 2.8 PERCENT AS PER THE DATA RELEASED BY NATIONAL STATISTICS OFFICE

The data released by the National statistics Office (NSO) showing the Retailed inflation, as measured by the consumers price index (CPI) was as 2.8 percent in the January under the new series and base reworked and the Food inflation in January was estimated at 2.8 percent and the rural inflation was marginally lower assessed at the rate 2.7 percent as compared to the Urban which was at 2.8 percent.
