INFORMATIONS RELATED TO THE INTERIM REPLIES TO THE ASSEMBLY QUESTIONS (ASSURANCES) SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED WITH IN TWO MONTHS,IN CASE OF DELAY IT MUST BE BROUGHT TO THE NOTICE OF THE MINISTER.
Information on implementation of an assurance should be sent, separately for the each assurance,to the Assembly Secretariat with a copy to the Parliamentary Affairs Section of the General Administration Department which must be prepared on the prescribed proforma, along with a note for delay if the period of implementation exceeds two months. In addition the Parliamentary Affairs Section of the GADwill too prepare a consolidated statement on the basis of the information supplied by the department, and will send it to the Assembly Secretariat. It is also mentioned that the assurance given by a Minister to the House in course of replies to the questions , discussion on the Bill's, resolution, motions etc ,will be communicated by the Assembly Secretariat to the department concerned. This however is in addition to the responsibility of the department concerned to make a note of the assurances and also to take timely action. All interim replies to questions will be treated as "assurances" .Each section will maintain a register of Assurances given in the Assembly by the Minister -in-charge in respect of subjects dealt with by it .The assurances will be recorded init session wise .The register of the assurances will be reviewed by the section in charge once in a week for the follow up action and put up once a fortnight when the Assembly is in session and once in a month otherwise,to the Branch officer .The Minister should be kept informed of the progress made up-to-date as required in implementation of these assurances .Every effort should be made to implement an assurance with in a period of two months.Cases in which there is likely to be any delay in implementation of an assurance should be particularly brought to the notice of the Minister .
