ALL DEPARTMENTS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ANNUAL PLANTATION SHOULD START PLANTATION PROGRAM AND SEND DEMAND NOTE TO THE FOREST DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR REQUIRED QUANTITY OF YOUNG PLANTS.
The plantation season has come and the department of forest conservation, Public Works and the Panchayati Raj should do the needful under purpose of protecting the enclosed and increase in the green belt area for which the public works department is responsible to have road side plantation and the Panchayati Raj Department should cover the vacant lands of the village corridors with in the area and jurisdiction of Gram panchayat land where found necessary by the environmental considerations.The department of forest and conservation is responsible to supply the all type of young plants from the nursery to all the departments.The young plants from the nursery along with (earth and roots ) may be wrapped in the leaves and grass or matting or both and may be packed in the baskets and empty space tightly filled with good Earth and kept moist by sprinkling water so that it may not get dry .As for as the road side plantation is concerned the rapid growing trees should be avoided as they are invariably short lived .As for as possible the mango,margosa may be planted at some selected spots to serve as effective land mark ,in addition to the other general trees like Teak ,jamun and Banyan .The department of forest is too responsible to have plantation during the rainy season like chil trees , Khair,Kail ,Biar,Babul ,Tut ,neem ,margosa,Olive ,Shisam ,Tuni etc etc.Suitable spacing of trees must be provided in the road side plantation which may be kept nine to fifteen metres and suitable pits must be prepared before the plantation of trees .Every department responsible for the annual plantation of seasonal work for the environment improvements and behaviour changes must sent a demand note to the department of forest and conservation so that the department of forest may provide them their required quantity of the young plants from the nurseries maintained by the department of forest in this behalf.
