EXTERNAL AFFAIRS MINISTER TOLD PARLIAMENT THAT NEW DELHI'S APPROACH WOULD BE GUIDED BY THE "NATIONAL INTEREST" IT IS ALSO IMPERATIVE THAT SOVEREIGNTY AND TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF ALL STATES IN THE REGION BE RESPECTED
On the demand of the opposition parties the External Affairs Minister issue statement in the both houses with believe that dialogue and diplomacy should be pursued, in the interest of security of the Indian community in the region, and the energy securing and trade , it is also imperative that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states in the region be respected. The National policy is based on the principles interfaces to be used in different fashions more appropriate to specific contexts and needs. In this behalf the External Affairs Minister stated that India had promptly accepted the requests from three Iranian naval vessels to dock at Indian ports.
