LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES MUST UPGRADE THE SYSTEM TO MONITOR THE DATA REPORTS

CYBER CRIMES INCREASING DAY BY DAY IN INDIA:--Cyber crimes are increasing day by day in India and it has gone up to 64 percent during the past 2019 with overall cases increasing to more than 45000 The data report furnished by the NCRB shows that fraud was the motive behind in 26900 cases approximately 60 percent of the total cases and the sexual exploitation in 5percent cases causing disrepute in 1875 cases, extortion in 1840 cases,pranks in 1385 cases, personal revenge in 1205 cases,anger in 580 cases.As much as 320 cases had been politically motivated and 200 were related to the terror funding inciting hate among the citizens and the country.Out of the total number of cases 30730 were registered under the IT act ,13730 under the IPC and 90 under the ( SLL) read with the.IT act .The Karnataka was reported the highest cyber crime at 12020 ,followed by the UP 11420, Maharashtra 4970.The sharp increase in the cyber crime is worrying
