AADHAAR RULES AMENDED, SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS MAY BE UPDATED ATLEAST ONCE IN THE TEN YEARS .
The government has amended the Aadhaar regulations , specifying that the supporting documents may be updated at least once by Aadhaar holders on completion of ten years from the date of its enrolment.The updation would ensure continued accuracy of Aadhaar related information in the central identities data repository (CIDR) , according to the gazette notification ministry of electronics and IT it has become necessary for the citizens of country. The proof of identity and the proof of Address , documents must be brought to the notice of the identification authority so as to ensure continued accuracy of their information in the CIDR ,in such manner as may be specified by the authorities from time to time and these changes have been made by tweaking the Aadhaar ( Enrolment and Update ) Regulations.The new Aadhaar features can be accessed online through the My Aadhaar portal and my Aadhaar app or the residents can visit any Aadhaar enrolment center to avail of this facility given to the citizens of country and required to be ensured after ten years of the Aadhaar updated by the government agency that issues Aadhaar number and urged the people to update the identification and residence proof documents,afresh .As such the UIDAI has developed a new feature of update documents which must be ensured the continued accuracy of Aadhaar related information in the central identities data repository.
