NGT SUMMONS OFFICERS OVER FELLING OF THE TREES ALONG DAULATPUR GAGRET GAGLEHAD ROAD IN UNA DISTRICT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH.

On the issue of illegal cutting and pruning of two hundred trees along Daulatpur Gagret Guglehad in Una Himachal Pradesh the National Green tribunal has demanded the personal appearance of the officer duly authorised by the Principal Chief Conservator of the forests and officer authorised by the ACS Public Work Department (PWD) and the district magistrate,Una for required adjudication and the questions involved in the case heard by the NGT comprising judicial member and the expert opinion by the judicial service ordering the PCCF ,and the ACS Public Work is as well as the district magistrate for the requisite compliance by the e-mail vide it's order dated July 4the NGT formed a joint committee comprising Union ministry of environment,forests and the climate change regional office working at Chandigarh,state pollution control board, principal chief Conservator of forests and the deputy commissioner Una Himachal Pradesh and too directed to submit the action taken report with in a period of two months, the committee had filed it's Report through e-mail on September 21 ,2022 and the tribunal had issued notices to the concerned respondents through an order September 28 ,2022 ,however failed to appear before the tribunal. The Applicant has furnished Complaint before the tribunal that pruning of two hundred trees fruit bearing capacity existing on the Daulatpur Gagret Guglehad road without requisite permission and required work order has been mentioned in the case file for approval of illegal proceedings in the issue and matter but no action has been taken by the government is a matter of fact and concern to be verified by the district magistrate and the all concerned working for the good governance and accountability
