CHAMBA ZONE OF RTI WELFARE GROUP REGISTERED NUMBER HPCD, 3552 , TAKING PART IN AWARENESS GENERATION FOR RTI WEEK CELEBRATION DURING THE COURSE OF(MINJAR MELA) UNDER CLAUSE (a) OF SUB SECTION (1) OF SECTION 26 OF THE RTI ACT, CASTS A RESPONSIBILITY ON THE GOVERNMENT OF STATE TO DEVELOP AND ORGANIZE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES TO ADVANCE THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE PUBLIC ABOUT EXERCISE OF THEIR EMPOWERMENT
An urgent online meeting was attended on the call of Chamba zone of Himachal pradesh held on 25-7-2025 (9.00pm to 11 pm) under the banner of RTI welfare Group registered number HPCD, 3552 , which was attended by Shri Yog Raj Mahajan, Acting president of the district welfare Association, Shri Pyar Muhammed Finance Secretary of the state coordination welfare Group registered number HPCD, 3552 , Its Executive Governing Body member Shri Prem Singh Tangania from the Solan zone of Group Coordination committee, Shri Uttam Chand, BDC Jadera and RTI volunteer from the Chamba zone, Shri parkash Chand, Shri B. S Jasrotia the social activist from Chamba and a resource person of the local self Government. In addition to above members and the key members of the RTI welfare Association some new era entrants were also present on the event of this meet particularly arranged for the promotion of the RTI awareness drive movement during the course of Minjar mela at Chamba wef 27-7-2025 for seven days of the duration. The members of the Group coordination committee RTI welfare Association registered number HPCD, 3552 met with the respective Deputy Commissioner Chamba , ADC, Chamba and the District Language officer Chamba for the cause of allotment of stall for doing needful under, Awareness generation for RTI and a week long celebration during this period of the fair at Chamba, where in the group coordination committee and members of the Welfare Association registered number HPCD, 3552 would take part in various activities which may help in guiding the principles of the helpline required for the support of capacity building and protection of action taken in good faith of the Act or Rules made there under for the institutional mechanism of the acceptance of the proposals made by the involving Non - Governmennental Organizations working for the spreading of awareness about the RTI Act,2005 under clause (a) of sub section (2) of Section 26 of the RTI Act, 2005 , casts a responsibility on the Governments of States to develop and organize educational programs to advance the understanding of the public about exercise of their right to information. It is a gigantic task which requires involvement of various sections of society and our Welfare Association is also providing various kinds of services to the people and creating awareness amongst them. They came in close contact with the public and may play an important role in disseminating knowledge about the use of the right to information Act for which instructions of the DoP &T issued vide OM number 1/26/2007 -IR dated 9-1-2-2008 is already existing for the needful. As such the district administration decided to take part in this behalf of the demand under public service and utilities and issued further instructions to allow place for work and conduct of the requested involvement working at Chamba to spread awareness about the RTI in other ways of the time to time issued orders and compliance made for the fruitful results and program in respect of a right or duty conferred or imposed by the Act ibid :-- Er Fateh chand Guleria, Director, RTI Welfare Association registered number HPCD, 3552 , Bilaspur Himachal pradesh phone number, 9459334377
