ESSENTIAL REPAIRS OF THE RURAL ROADS , NEEDED EASY REPAIR SHOULD BE TAKEN IN HAND BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS , REQUIRED IT TO BRING IN THE SAFER CONDITIONS

Berms should be filled and the road side drains must be opened for the removal and diversion of water from road surface. Saturation or softening of the road bed can be prevented by providing longitudinal ditches of sufficient depth parallel to the road on both sides and the cross section of the side ditches is usually V shaped or trapezoidal and should be filled with 20 mm to 40 mm gravel or ballast.
