FOUNDATION OF MODERN EDUCATION AND THE ECONOMY

UGC chairman New Delhi held a meeting with the Vice Chancellors of the all central universities to discuss the various issues related to the higher education. In this meeting all UGC bureau heads were also present to answer the queries from the VCs .In the said meeting with the VCs of the all central universities suggestions of the VCs had been obtained by the UGC chairman.The bureau heads were also present to answer the questions and queries related to their concern .The meeting almost took place about more than two hours and various issues related to the higher education were discussed in the meeting held.Earlier on Tuesday the UGC had approved the draft guidelines for engaging"Professor of Practice" in the universities and colleges.The said decision came after the 560th meeting of the UGC and will be soon made public for feedback by the stakeholders.The decision was taken as a measure to promote the National education policy 2020 , which seeks to transform higher education by focusing on skill based education to meet the needs of the Industry and the economy.No doubt India has made tremendous progress in every segment be it education, science and technology, medicine/health care, enterpreneurship, Education reformation had been the driving force behind the rapid transformation and the intelligentsia taking place in every field of the country.The new education policy of the nation is going to be introduced which sets out a blueprint for a huge overhaul in the way institutions should operate in the country and making the country a self reliant nation by ensuring an ecosystem that promotes 21st century , education and the health care .
