HIMACHAL PRADESH REQUIRES MORE ENROLLMENT IN SHORT TERM TRAINING PROJECTS, UNDER SKILL INDIA MISSION AS PER THE REPORTS BASED ON THE SURVEY BY (PLFS) AND RELEASED BY THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash yojana suggests that 45.26 percent of those who received skill enhancement training could still find no job.In case of neighbouring states of Punjab , Haryana and the Himachal Pradesh have long struggle with high rate of the unemployment and the data of the skill development and entrepreneurship Ministry shows that of more than 6.89 lakh candidates from the region who enrolled in the short term training and special projects under the PMKVY's skill India mission only 5.35 lakh have completed their training .The rate of placement in the special projects is low and in the state of HP the rate is 35.8 percent.Under the skill India mission , the skill development ministry provides youth with short term skills through the PMKVY Jan shiksha sansthan Scheme and the national apprenticeship promotion Scheme ,besides long term skills through the crafts man training scheme and the ITIs .The state of HP has 383 PMKVY centers as compared to the Punjab 1304 and Haryana 993 It also has 5042 centers (NAPS) as compared to the Punjab 45912 and the Haryana 8244 .
