HEAVY RAINS IN THE STATE RECORDED 27 DEATHS , OVER 300 ROADS STILL CLOSED , AND LAND SLIDES CONTINUED IN MANY AREAS .

Over more than three hundred roads are still closed due to heavy rains in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Heavy rains affected day to day life of the hilly areas , triggering flash floods,land slides and the house collapses.More than 27 people have lost their lives. As per the Reports of the department of public works working for the opening of roads in the upper areas of hills more than seven hundred crores of rupees are required to open these roads in the state .Rescue operation is continued and the disaster management teams are working for the welfare of people facing such problems in the state .The NDRF ,SDRF ,police and the local residents are still searching missing flash flood people at Kataula  village in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh while bodies of the 13persons who were killed in different incidents of land slides and the flash floods have been recovered. The Mandi Pathankot highway has been closed near the Kotrupi  village due to heavy landslides and there is a constant risk of a massive landslide people of the sorroundings have been asked to remain alert .
